Huge heads of purple-pink in late summer. Massive plant growing to about 2.5 metres and a superb structural component. For us, this eclipses the various other forms of Eupatorium purpureum that we have grown. Recently included in RHS trials and it got an AGM. The plant dies right back in winter but it's worth leaving it standing both for the contribution the structure makes and for providing a useful seed source for finches and tits. Sent in 9cm pots. Always late to show in spring and protect young growth from slugs for first year or so
